WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING . . .
"The conference was truly amazing! It was well organized, the speakers were very impressive, the content was relevant/meaningful and the networking was invaluable. I am truly appreciative of being able to gain wisdom and learn from so many extraordinary people. Being in a room with group of powerful and very successful women and men of color was inspirational and live changing."
The Women of Color and Capital Conference was game changing. Getting see hundreds of women of color in the positions that I one day aspire to be was EVERYTHING! I will always be dedicated to being a student, before anything. I walked away with mentors, future collaborators, coaches and the tools to help my dreams to the next level -MEESH L..
The Women of Color and Capital Conference was fantastic! I learned so much amazing information about how to invest our money and do it well, how to become investors, and learn from the women in the room. There were so many amazing people from different backgrounds and different fields to connect with. I now have the opportunity to build up my team. To know that I need wealth management, I need someone that will have my back when it comes to finances. I need someone on the law side to make sure that when I'm investing I’m doing it well and can give me the right mindset and feedback. And also to know that I belong in those rooms, how to have confidence, when I walk into a room when no one looks like me and have a conversation from my knowledge base, so thank you so much and I'm so excited for next year.

I really enjoyed the conference, it was very enlightening and engaging. I think one thing that I learned was really the value and the power of having women at the table, women of color especially. One thing that resonated with me was just the diversity of opinions and having a 360 review of investments, entrepreneurship and wealth management. Having women at the table to contribute is a major asset to any company and as a budding entrepreneur myself, that's something I learned and value.
The conference was excellent. I enjoyed that it was not just an "empowerment" event or even just a networking event, though there was significant opportunity for great networking. Importantly, I felt that I got several concrete takeaways and action items that I could use to further my business and to well-position myself for when I am ready to seek funding. This conference was certain worth more than the cost and I would highly recommend it to other founders and potential investors. I would love to see this event get even bigger next year!
Thank you!!!! It was so empowering. I identify as Indian-American but I have been looking for a place to have honest conversation. Thank you so much for recognizing what women of color need to learn and providing a network and professional resources to learn and grow. I left extremely motivated and empowered when often times at the end of the day I feel alone and unable to figure out how to navigate the paths of how I want to be successful. Thank you so much for the community, experience and positive attitude, it goes a long long way.

"$5: The median wealth for an African American woman in 2016. That really got my attention this morning at Women of Color and Capital, an amazing conference put on by Avant-Garde Network. Being in this room with all these women has inspired me to get to work on making investments that will have long term impact and build my legacy."
The conference was well organized and the variety of speakers were on point! I met prospective clients and mentors who are killing it in their respective fields. The event was filled with supportive black and brown women on the same mindset of building wealth. Loved it!

The Women of Color and Capital Conference filled an enormous void in the conversation on economic access and opportunities for historically overlooked communities like mine. As a real estate broker, attorney and investor, I learned concrete ways to improve my personal and professional finances and how leverage my network to position myself for success. Being in a room with 500+ black professionals, business executives and entrepreneurs at the top of their game was inspiring and affirming. Knowledge + Networking is a win in my book.

This event was indeed historic, as shown by the Forbes article feature. Adeola is doing something that I do not see anyone else doing in this ecosystem right now. This was a unique conference of its kind to bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors for targeted panels and discussions. The women of color focus was also unique. We need more spaces for women of color. Frankly, I do not get this same value from events generally focused on women. At those events, sadly, I feel that my experiences as a Black woman are still overlooked. I look forward to future AGN events and to the next WCC conference.
